Issue Vol. 1 No. 01 (2025): Volume 01 , Issue 01 Oct 2025 --- Section Articles --- Published Date: 2025-10-01
Abstract
Telemedicine has rapidly emerged as a transformative model for improving healthcare accessibility, quality, and affordability in rural regions with limited medical resources. This research paper evaluates the role of telemedicine in enhancing patient outcomes, enabling timely clinical interventions, and reducing travel-related burdens. Using a mixed-method research design that includes comparative outcome analysis, socio-economic assessment, case studies, and stakeholder surveys, the study investigates the effectiveness of teleconsultations, remote monitoring, and digital diagnostics in rural healthcare ecosystems. The findings reveal that telemedicine significantly improves treatment adherence, reduces referral delays, enhances chronic disease management, and lowers healthcare expenditure for rural populations. Despite challenges such as limited digital literacy and connectivity gaps, telemedicine demonstrates strong potential for scaling as a sustainable healthcare delivery model.
