Abstract

Sustainable crop intensification has become a global priority as demand for food increases alongside shrinking arable land and rising climate uncertainties. Precision agriculture technologies—ranging from remote sensing and GIS-based monitoring to AI-driven predictive modeling and automated machinery—are redefining modern farming practices. This research evaluates how these technologies optimize resource efficiency, minimize environmental degradation, and significantly enhance crop productivity. Using a mixed-method approach involving field-level observations, farmer interviews, and advanced data analytics, this study presents a comprehensive assessment of precision agriculture adoption in resource-constrained farming communities. Findings reveal substantial improvements in soil nutrient management, water-use optimization, pest forecasting, and yield prediction accuracy. The paper concludes with policy recommendations and a framework for scalable implementation across developing regions.
