Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic triggered widespread economic disruptions across emerging economies, intensifying challenges related to inflation, unemployment, fiscal imbalances, external vulnerabilities, and declining productivity. This research examines how post-pandemic policy interventions shaped macroeconomic stability and long-term sustainable growth trajectories in emerging markets. Using comparative data from Asia, Africa, and Latin America, the study analyzes fiscal stimuli, monetary adjustments, structural reforms, digitalization measures, and social protection expansions implemented between 2020 and 2024. Findings show that countries adopting balanced fiscal consolidation, inflation-targeting frameworks, and green–digital growth strategies recovered faster and displayed improved economic resilience. However, inconsistent policy sequencing, debt overhang, supply-chain shocks, and uneven labor market recovery continue to hinder sustained progress. The paper emphasizes that resilient macroeconomic stability requires coordinated monetary–fiscal frameworks, diversified production structures, and inclusive, environmentally conscious policies.
